Abstract

Numerical analysis is used for processing & segmentation of images, especially if we want to compare between old & new elements (In medical: compare between pathological & normal image) . In this talk we propose iterative methods (SOR & Jacobi) to detect the position of disease with less computation time than the statistical approach (ANOVA1). We have problem of cost computation & accuracy of the detection. SOR is used for solving linear systems to build a sequence of approximations that converges to the true solution. The images are  obtained from  radiology department  of Kouba Hospital.  

Biography

Dr.Kaouther EL Kourd is lecturer at EPSTof Algiers- Algeria .She received her PHD in 2007 & her electrical of engineering degree from Biskra university in 1996. She is a TPC memberships & lecture reviewer  for differents international  conferences  & for  Biskra journal.    Her   interesting  is  in  image segmentation, Diagnostic  of  tumor  of  MR images using numerical analysis methods.
